GREETINGS FROM SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA:
AS I SIT HERE TODAY WITH THE LEFTOVERS OF THE GREAT BLIZZARD OF 2009 STILL ON THE GROUND, I FIND MYSELF WISHING THAT THE NEXT MONTH WOULD GO BY 2 DAYS AT A TIME. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE REST OF YOU BUT I AM TIRED OF WAITING FOR THE RACE SEASON AND AM OVER READY FOR "GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES", OF COURSE WITH MS. PATRICK IN THE MIX NOW I WONDER IF NATIONWIDE IS GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO "DRIVERS START YORU ENGINES"?
IT IS GETTING REALLY CLOSE TO THE SEASON START AND AS OF YET I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM FOXSPORTS AS TO IF THEY WISH TO CONTINUE THE "HOT OR NOT" PART OF THEIR BLOG PAGE. IF YOU HAVEN'T GONE TO THEIR NASCAR STUFF IN A WHILE THEY HAVE CHANGED EVERYTHING NOT JUST THE BLOG SITE.
I WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE WRITING THE WEEKLY ITEM ON HERE IF THE MAJORITY OF YOU HAVE NO OBJECTIONS, I LEARN ALOT FROM YOU GUYS AND THAT FORCES ME TO WATCH IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT AND THAT IS A GOOD THING.
SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE YOU GUYS TO DO , IS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, LIST A FEW OF WHAT YOU THOUGHT WERE THE HOT OR NOT DRIVERS, AND INCIDENTS AND I WILL COMBINE THEM AS AN OPENING FOR THE START OF THE 2010 SEASON.

Well the Jimmie and Chad show is and was hot for 2009 and probably 2010. Tony Stewart will have an off season as HMS decided not to give Tony any more hot engines from their stables but the rejects.Joey Logano will have a better year this year and Kyle Busch will do his regular burning up the tracks till the chase.

ReplyDeleteHot - Obviously 48 team will continue to dominate. Other hots to Montoya, Hamlin, Smoke and Kurt...I see it being HMS v Gibbs next year for the most part.
Not - Obviously Jr, other nots to Roush and RCR overall and Danicamania...
Some interesting news coming out of Nascar with possible changes to the car - spoilers and bigger restrictor plates as well as possibly taking away yellow line rule.

I HOPE DANICA DOES OK, BUT AM SO WORRIED THAT IN THE END IT MAY TURN OUT TO BE ANOTHER ERIN CROCKER DEAL. HMMMMMM, THAT MIGHT NOT BE SO BAD IT WAS OVER COMMENTS THAT CINDI MADE ABOUT ERIN'S ACTIONS HURTING WOMEN IN RACING THAT GOT SHE AND I INTRODUCED TO START WITH. ADN NO DON'T THINK THERE IS ANOTHER CINDI OUT THERE BUT WOULD ALWAYS WELCOME ANOTHER KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON TO THE GROUP.

ReplyDeleteSince Danica will dominate the media coverage. Why don't we (you) try and be impartial and find 3 or 4 things about her that are hot and not. I'm not talking about appearance. Because I don't think she's all that hot. Among a group of men of course she's going to be prettiest, Kasey Kahne may dispute that. But how about H&N about handling the media, practice times, overall ability. etc.

Dale Jr. he and Lance McGrew might actually pull something together this year, especially if they change the wing to the spoiler of the car
Tony Stewart will he lose his focus. Or will he have the biggest year for him career wise? In his second year with Gibbs, he had the most wins in one year of his NASCAR career, 6. Let's see if he can match it or will he fail to win any.
Will the expecting fathers be able to keep their focus, or will the babies keep the daddy destracted?
Baby Boom in 2010, At least three drivers are expecting fathers: Carl Edwards child due in Feb. Just in time for Daytona 500. Elliott Sadler child due in March. And Jimmie Johnson child due in July.
Will baby Johnson be the one who stops daddy Jimmie at four championships?
