GREETINGS FROM SW OKLAHOMA:
WOW, THEY SAY THAT IT IS BETTER TO BE LATE THEN NOT AT ALL, SO I HOPE YOU WILL EXCUSE ME FOR BEING LATE. THINGS OVER THE HOLIDAY WERE A LITTLE STIRRED AROUND SO AM RUNNING BEHIND. REALLY GOOD RACE LAST WEEKEND, AND TALK ABOUT A SURPRISE ENDING, I DON'T THINK UNCLE REMUS COULD HAVE COME UP WITH A BETTER ONE. HERE IS HOW I SAW THE RACE, WITH THE ENDING WE HAD I KNOW IT LOOKS A LITTLE DISJOINTED AND MAYBE EVEN A LITTLE OUT OF LINE.
NOT:
1. #16 CREWCHIEFS: 2 TIRE CHANGE ON THE FIRST PIT STOP GOT THE LEAD FOR A SHORT WHILE , BUT THEN THEY LOST THIER BUTTS ABOUT AS FAST. HARVICK WENT FROM FIRST TO 13TH AND BIFFLE FROM 2ND TO 28TH IN JUST A MATTER OF A SHORT TIME. THIS WAS A BAD CHOICE AND I FIGURED THAT WAS THE END OF THE BOYS FOR THE NIGHT. OF COURSE KEVIN SURPRISED ALL OF US AND HIS ENDING WAS JUST A LITTLE BRIGHTER THEN BIFFLE'S.
2. JUAN MONTOYA: POOR CHOICE IN TIME TO FIGHT OVER 2" OF RACE TRACK. JUAN COULD HAVE BACKED OUT FOR A 1/10 OF A SECOND AND LET KYLE SLIDE BY. KYLE WAS LEADING THE RACE AND IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN JUAN WAS A LAP DOWN.
3. KYLE BUSCH: KYLE EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE LEAD, YOU GOT TO KNOW WHO YOUR PASSING, YOU KNOW JUAN WON'T GIVE YOU AN INCH. JUST NOT GOOD JUDGEMENT AND NOW YOUR CAR IS RECYCLE MATERIAL FOR THE THIRD WEEK IN A ROW.
4. DAVID REGAN: DAVID JUST HAD A HORRID WEEK START TO FINISH, WRECKED EALY IN THE WEEK THEN WRECKED HIMSELF DURING THE RACE AND TOOK OUT McMURRAY AND TRUEX TO BOOT, I THINK THAT MIGHT BE CALLED JUST ADDDING SALT TO THE WOUND.
5. NEMECHECK- PAPIS-BLANEY: BETWEEN THE 3 OF THEM THEY RAN LESS THE 1/3 OF THE RACE, AND WALKED AWAY WITH A WHEELBARREL FULL OF MONEY. NASCAR HAS GOT TO PUT A STOP TO THIS CRAP. BONNIE AND CLYDE DIDN'T STEAL AS MUCH MONEY AS THESE GUYS AND I FEEL THAT THE TIME HAS COME TO INSTITUTE A MINIMUN LAP REQUIREMENT BEFORE YOU CAN COLLECT FROM THE PURSE. THIS WOULD OF COURSE NOT INVOLVE DRIVERS OR CARS THAT ARE INVOLVED IN WRECKS CRASHES AND THINGS LIKE THIS, BUT I AM GUESSING THAT IT TOOK LESS THEN 2500.00 TO REPAIR ALL THREE CARS AND THEY TOOK HOME ABOUT 90,000.00 BETWEEN THE THREE.
HOT:
3. JEFF GORDON: JEFF RAN A GOOD RACE, STAYED CLEAN AND USED HIS HEAD TO STAY CLOSE, BUT OUT OF THE MIX, ALL IN ALL STILL RUNNING AND THINKING LIKE A CHAMP.
2. KASEY KAHNE: KASEY STARTED IN THE 20TH SLOT AND MORE OR LESS HID OUT ALL NIGHT AND STAYED OUT OF TROUBLE, HE MUST HAVE PLAYED A LOT OF DODGE BALL IN SCHOOL CAUSE HE CERTAINLY HAS THE KNACK OF BOB AND WEAVE
DOWN PAT TO STAY OUT OF TROUBLE AND NOT GET RUN OVER.
1. KEVIN HARVICK: AFTER A REAL MESS UP ON THE FIRST PIT STOP I THOUGHT KEVIN WAS THRU FOR THE NIGHT, BUT HE WORKED HARD AND SMART AND WITH THE HELP OF A GREAT ORGANIZATION HE PULLED OFF THE WIN. CONGRATES TO KEVIN AND THE WHOLE RCR ORGANIZATION, EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF WORKING TOGETHER.
LUCKY:
2. DALE EARNHARDT JR.: JR. WAS HAVING AT BEST A HALF-ASS MEDIAN RACE, BUT WITH MORE LUCK THEN HE DESERVED HE SURVIVED THE "BIG ONE" AND MANAGED TO GRAB A 4TH PLACE FINISH. THIS MOVED HIM IN TO THE TOP 12, NOW LET'S SEE IF HE CAN STAY THERE.
1. JEFF BURTON: JEFF RAN WELL, BUT I HAVE TO SAY HE WAS MORE LUCKY THEN ANYTHING ELSE THIS PAST WEEKEND. HE IS REALLY LUCKY HE DIDN'T GET WIPED OUT BY THE BIG ONE , THAT HE DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY CAUSED, AND LUCKY THAT KURT DIDN'T CLIMB OUT OF HIS CAR AND POKE HIM IN THE NOSE FOR RUNNING HIM OFF THE TRACK.
THAT IS HOW I SAW THE RACE, HOPE SOME OF YOU AGREE AND IF YOU DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
THAT'S MY OPINION - WHAT'S YOURS
